Following the tribunal verdict that upheld President Bola Tinubu’s victory, the Leader of the Senate, Opeyemi Bamidele, today charged politicians that it was time for them to embrace governance.

He also hailed the judiciary for upholding the rule of law over emotions by affirming Tinubu as the winner of the February 25, 2023, presidential election.

In a statement issued through his media office, Senator Bamidele congratulated Tinubu on the tribunal verdict, and appealed to the petitioners to accept the outcome of the judgement and synergise with the president to deliver the Renewed Hope Agenda to Nigerians, stressing that politics is over and it is time for governance.

He also commended the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal for upholding the rule of law over emotions.
