The founder and chairman, Bright Broadcasting Limited, BBL, owners of Diamond FM network in Osun and Kwara, Apostle John Oluwole Awotuyi, has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on his 30th anniversary on the throne. 

Awotuyi described the Emir as a rare gem and blessing to Ilorin Emirate, Kwara state and Nigeria at large. 

In a statement personally signed by him on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the Kwara based industrialist attributed the expansion of Ilorin Emirate and the economic transformation of Kwara to the ingenuity of the monarch and his hospitality towards natives and visitors alike.

“The Emir is a custodian of culture and an epitome of elegance whose leadership has transformed Kwara and endeared natives and visitors to the state,” the statement read.

According to the media proprietor, the peace and harmony enjoyed in Kwara is also a product of the  monarch’s ingenuity as Chairman of the state traditional council and a strong voice in the country.

Awotuyi thanked the Emir of Ilorin for his open door policy, detribalism, his fatherly roles and the support he offers to all and sundry towards personal and societal success.

“I wish the Emir long life in sound health. May your reign continue to usher in abundant blessings to the Emirate and Kwara at large.”
