Benin Republic Coach, Gernot Rohr has warned Nigeria that the Cheetahs are used to playing away matches.

He gave the warning while addressing his press conference ahead of their clash against Nigeria in Uyo today, October 14,2025.

Rohr pointed out that his team has played all their matches away from home throughout the qualifiers as CAF could not approve any venue in Benin.

He urged his players to stay composed as the fight for the World Cup ticket ends, but Benin Republic must avoid defeat against Nigeria to book their place in North America automatically as they sit at the summit of Group C with 17 points.

Meanwhile, Rohr expressed optimism about the challenge of beating Nigeria at home for the first time ever.
