Diamond FM’s Tolulope Ojo, Igarama clinch prestigious Primus Awards


Diamond FM Ilesa On air Personalities, Tolulope Ojo best known as Baba Federal and Samson Tare Igarama, popularly known as MC Blaqberry have won the Primus Media Award for Osun LISTENER’S CHOICE Category and Best Indigenous Presenter Pidgin category respectively.

Speaking while receiving the award plaque on Friday, Sept 07, 2024, at the award ceremony in Ibadan, Tolulope lauded the founder and Proprietor of Diamond FM Ilesa and Ilorin, Apostle John Oluwole Awotuyi for the platform to prove himself and project the station.

He also appreciated Fans for their votes which ensured that he emerged as the winner of the prize award, while in an emotional moment eulogized his late mother’s service to the broadcasting industry.

Also speaking, Samson Igarama in his words acknowledged that the award was the first ever nomination as a broadcaster and was glad to win in such a prestigious category. He also dedicated the award to the CEO of Diamond FM, his Mother and late father for their unfailing support.

The duo were nominated for four categories each. Tolulope got nominated as the Best Presenter of the Year, Most Versatile Presenter of the Year, the Best Political Presenter of the Year and the Osun LISTENER’S CHOICE award.

Igarama was nominated for Best Indigenous Pidgin Presenter of the Year, Best Entertainment Presenter of the Year, Best Presenter of the Year and also Osun LISTENER’S CHOICE Category.
