The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a social media user who asked the military to overthrow the current government.

Posting on his “X” handle “@TheAgroman,” Innocent Chukwuma, stated that a coup was needed in Nigeria and called on the military to “suspend the Nigerian government.” He also accused President Bola Tinubu of nepotism.

Shortly after, the secret police trailed him to Oyigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he was apprehended.

Recently, there have been reports of an attempt to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu. However, the Defence Headquarters has described the reports as ‘’false and misleading”.
