‘Eid-el-Adha, time to sacrifice, rededicate ourselves to God’ – Awotuyi

As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el-Adha, the Founder and Chairman, Bright Broadcasting Limited, owners of Diamond FM Ilesa and Ilorin, Apostle Oluwole Awotuyi, has joined eminent Nigerians to rejoice with the Muslim community in the country.

Awotuyi congratulated the Muslim Ummah and Nigerians at large for the grace to witness and celebrate another Sallah, in spite of the individual and collective challenges.

In a message issued in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, on Thursday, June 06, 2025, he said the religious occasion must serve as a reminder about the significance of sacrifice and commitment to the worship of Almighty Allah.

The message read, “As we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Adha, we must not forget the essence of the spiritual exercise, which is to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s readiness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command, demonstrating his unwavering devotion to Allah.

“It therefore reminds us of the essence of sacrifice to God Almighty and to one another.

“It also serves as a time to rededicate ourselves to serving Allah and doing His will.”

Awotuyi admonished Muslim faithfuls to remember Nigeria and its leaders in prayer as the nation navigates a tough path towards prosperity.

The media proprietor, who called for a modest celebration, noted the austere economic situation in the country and therefore charged the privileged to extend love by sharing with the needy at this challenging moment in our nation.
