Family members, government functionaries and associates from all walks of life are converging in Ilesa to attend the seventieth birthday celebration of a prominent son of Ijesaland, Honourable Gbenga Onigbogi.

The celebration of the Post Chancellor of University of Ilesa, kicked off today with a thanksgiving service at Salvation Army Church, Isokun road, Ilesa and is being attended by several dignitaries.

The Organizing committee stated that guests are to be entertained at Kings Mega Event Centre, Ilesa-Ife road, immediately after the thanksgiving service.

Some of the dignitaries who spoke to Diamond FM, described the septuagenarian as a worthy son of the soil and sacrificial leader who has contributed tremendously to the development of Ijesa land and Osun State at large.
