Former Osun Commissioner For Finance, Bolorunduro Commends Adeleke’s Defection To Accord Party

Former Osun State Commissioner for Finance, Honorable Wale Bolorunduro, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke’s decision to join the Accord Party as his new political platform to seek re-election in 2026, describing it as a welcome development.

The Governor, who recently joined the party, emerged as its governorship candidate after the party’s primary election held in Osogbo, observed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other observers.

Speaking with newsmen at his home in Ilesa, Honorable Bolorunduro described the Governor’s move as an important one, made after extensive consultations with stakeholders in the state.

While he added that it will ensure continuity of the people-centered governance agenda of Governor Adeleke beyond 2026, the former commissioner also appreciated the governor over the completion of the Ilesa dual carriage road, describing it as historical.

According to him, it is where infrastructure met urban renewal, which he said has led to the emergence of new commercial corridors, and transformed the outlook of Ilesa, enhancing commerce, safety, and the general well-being of the people in Ijesaland and the entire state.

Bolorunduro, however, urged Osun residents to intensify their support and solidarity with the Governor.
