Top officials say the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) will promote Kwara State as a vibrant destination for investment and business.
This assurance was given by Engr. Abu Salami, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the upcoming 65th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Conference, during a press briefing on Thursday.
The AGM and Conference, tagged Harmony 2025, is scheduled to hold in Ilorin, the Kwara State capitai, from June 17 to 19, 2025.
Speaking at the press conference attended by KWACCIMA top executives and LOC members, Salami emphasized that the AGM will serve as a major platform to elevate Kwara’s business profile and showcase the state’s transformation beyond its traditional civil service identity.
“A major highlight of the AGM will be the historic inauguration of Engr. Jani Ibrahim, a prominent Kwara-born businessman and Chairman of Lubcon Limited, as the incoming President of NACCIMA.
“Engr. Ibrahim will become the first Kwaran to assume the leadership of the national body since its establishment in 1960. This is a golden opportunity for Kwara,” Engr. Salami stated.
“The emergence of Engr. Jani Ibrahim as NACCIMA President will bring immense benefits. It will attract top business leaders to the state and spotlight ongoing government projects like the Kwara Garment Factory, thereby exposing Kwara to both national and international investors.”
According to Salami, the program is not just an AGM. It is a strategic showcase of what Kwara has become and what more it can offer. We are ready to welcome the business world to Harmony State.
He noted that Kwara’s recent infrastructural growth is largely due to increased visibility and strategic leadership, particularly with the state’s governor currently serving as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.
Engr. Salami expressed confidence that Engr. Ibrahim’s presidency would further amplify this momentum.
The three-day event promises a vibrant lineup of activities, beginning on June 17 with a golf tournament and courtesy visits by NACCIMA delegates to leading companies across the state.
Day two, June 18, will feature a cultural night at Flower Garden, a visit to the Kwara State Governor, and other ceremonial engagements.
The conference will culminate on June 19 with the official NACCIMA Annual General Meeting and the Investiture Dinner, where Engr. Jani Ibrahim will be formally installed as the new national president.
The 65th AGM is expected to draw key stakeholders from Nigeria’s business, political, and diplomatic communities, creating lasting partnerships and investment prospects for the state.
