The Apex body in the lgbo Socio-cultural Organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has disentangled herself, South-East governors and Ministers from the region from the October 20, 2025, planned nationwide protest for the unconditional release of Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The organisation, in conjunction with the Southeast Governors and Igbo Ministers, condemned the planned protest due to the fact that they have a grave sense of responsibility and a profound commitment to the well-being of the zone and the stability of the country.

This is contained in a statement signed by the factional Deputy-President-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Chief Chinyereze Thompson Ohia, National Spokesperson, and issued on Thursday.

According to the association, the protest orchestrated by Atiku Abubakar and his allies is a subtle way of using the people as pawns in any political game with the ultimate aim to destabilize the Tinubu administration.

The body implored Nigerians, especially the Igbos who cherish truth, justice, and democracy, to distance themselves from the planned protests scheduled for October 20,2025.
