Osun APC hails Former Chief of Staff, Dr Peter Babalola.

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has hailed the resignation of former Chief of Staff, Dr Peter Babalola, from the state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) barely 24 hours after a former governorship aspirant, Barrister Kayode Oduoye, who stepped down for Governor Ademola Adeleke, also dumped the party.

In a dramatic turn of events, Babalola, one of the pillars of the PDP in the state, who hails from Ikire in Irewole Local Government Council Area of the state, submitted his letter of resignation to the state chairman of the party in Osogbo, the state capital, yesterday.

The state PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, announced the suspension of Babalola, who until his resignation yesterday, was the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, after he had turned in his letter of resignation from the party.

The resignation of the former Chief of Staff under the administration of former State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has left a big crack in the administration of the embattled Governor Adeleke which has been losing quality chieftains of the PDP to the opposition party in the state.

Meanwhile, some of the followers of the suspended PDP Chieftain, who has now resigned from the party, have, in a video seen by one of our Correspondents, acknowledged the anti-party activities accusation levied against their former boss and declined leaving the PDP with him to another party, vowing their loyalty, solidarity and support for the party.
