The Kwara State government has commended the contributions of the NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women, NNEW, to the development of women, especially those in business.
The government also restated its continued plans to support women entrepreneurs to thrive in their various businesses in Kwara state.
The Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr Kayode Alabi, stated this when he received representatives of NNEW who were on a courtesy visit at his office, on Monday, in Ilorin, the state capital.
The Deputy Governor, who expressed happiness at the impact Kwara NNEW is making in promoting women in business, assured them of the state readiness to partner with them in ensuring they advance.
Alabi noted that the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration has proved to be women friendly and will continue to accord them considerable opportunities in the scheme of things.
The Chairperson of NNEW, Kwara chapter, Mrs Ayobami Adediran, commended the state government for giving women opportunities in governance and decision making.
Adediran, the CEO of Bammy Fabric & Varieties, said NNEW will always be willing to collaborate with the state to ensure the government realizes its vision for women especially in business.
The Public Relations Officer and CEO Of Ambassador 3T Int’l, Mrs Oluwatosin Opegbemi said NNEW, a platform under the aegis of Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association, NECA, is making relentless efforts to nurture more and more women in Kwara to excel as entrepreneurs
She noted that the support of the state government will go a long way to achieve the objectives.
Also speaking, the Ex-officio and CEO of Moaj Media Consult, Mrs Mary Ajado, lauded the AbdulRazaq government for their initiatives that supports women entrepreneurs.
While highlighting other areas requiring government intervention, Ajado said that NNEW will be available to collaborate in information sharing and networking that will enhance growth of businesses.
The Vice-chairperson and CEO of Epitome of Elegance Realtors, Mrs Bilkis Abdul, thanked the Deputy Governor for his open door policy and warm welcome.
The Kwara NNEW executive, thereafter presented a gift to the Deputy Governor as a form of appreciation.
