Wilfred Ndidi is thrilled with the Super Eagles’ progress into Round of 16 at the ongoing 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The three-time champions booked their way into the knockout round of the competition after a hard-fought 1-0 victory against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau on Monday, January 22.

The Super Eagles will confront eternal rivals, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the Round of 16.

Recall that Ndidi was replaced in Nigeria’s squad for AFCON 2023 by Alhassan Yusuf after sustaining an injury while in action for Sky Bet Championship club Leicester City.
