Accord Party candidate for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has promised to address the alleged lack of federal presence in the constituency if elected.
Olajengbesi gave the assurance during a visit to Ipetu-Ile, where he was received by supporters, women, youths and community leaders.
He stated that the visit was aimed at listening to residents, understanding their challenges and presenting his vision for the constituency’s development.
According to him, the constituency has been neglected at the federal level for more than two decades, with communities including Ipetu-Ile, Ase-Ijesa, Ada-Owode, Itiya, Ilu Ojatuntun, Olomu and Erinja allegedly missing out on significant federal projects.

“You cannot mention any serious federal project in Ward 2 in the last 20 years. That is the reality. Our people in Ipetu-Ile, Ase-Ijesa, Ada-Owode, Itiya, Ilu Ojatuntun, Olomu and Erinja have been left to survive on their own. We are coming to change that,” he disclosed.
Olajengbesi promised to improve residents’ access to federal opportunities, including grants, loans, employment and agricultural support for farmers, traders, students and artisans.
“We will bring the federal government closer to our farmers, our traders, our students and our artisans. From access to grants and loans, to federal jobs, to agricultural support, we will open the doors that have been shut against our people.”
He said his proposed representation would bring the Federal Government closer to the people and ensure that federal opportunities become accessible to communities across Ijesa North.
